Neil Young Wants to Make an iPod Killer

With the advent of smartphones and their built-in MP3 players, many argued that the age of the dedicated MP3 player is coming to an end.

Not so said musician Neil Young. Young's kickstarter for the PonoPlayer, a triangular MP3 player is quickly gaining hype among music enthusiasts.

Rather that competing against the convenience of a smart phone, the MP3 player will instead offer the best music-listening experience with its studio quality digital music.

The price? $399, a price that many will surely find hard to swallow. Will this device achieve the same success as the iPod? We will soon see.
